Frequently asked questions
Is it safe for my children?
Yes. During each ride you have live tracking on your phone and receive notifications when your child gets in the car and when they arrive. If you have any problem with a driver or want to report an incident, you can send it directly to the platform and we will take it into account.
Do I need to pay to get started?
No. You can register and explore the app completely free, without entering a card. With the free plan you can join public rides and pay only for the ones you use (from €1). If you want to create your own private group, the Plus plan includes a free trial with no commitment.
Does it work without internet during a ride?
Live GPS tracking requires a connection to update in real time. However, the driver can continue the ride without coverage and the route syncs automatically once signal is restored.
Do drivers pay any commissions?
For public rides, Kidstoride applies a service fee to cover platform costs. In private groups, the driver receives the full amount agreed with families, with only a small payment processing fee.
What happens if I cancel a ride?
You can cancel at no cost within the timeframe set by your group (by default, 1 hour before the ride starts). Late cancellations may result in a charge according to your group's cancellation policy.
When is the ride payment charged?
Ride costs accumulate throughout the month. When the total exceeds the minimum threshold, your card is charged automatically. If the threshold isn't reached that month, the amount rolls over to the following month. Either way, only one invoice is generated per month, available as a PDF from your profile.
Is a certified car seat required?
Yes, for children who require one based on their height or weight. When creating a ride, the driver declares the available seats and the app automatically checks compatibility with each child before confirming the booking.
How do you protect my children's data?
GPS positions are never stored in a permanent database. They are held temporarily in memory during the ride and deleted automatically when it ends. We never sell data to third parties.
