Less data, more protection
We collect only what's essential for a trip to work and keep it for the shortest time possible. Whatever isn't needed, isn't stored.
Real-time location is the most sensitive data, so it gets the strictest treatment: it lives in temporary memory during the trip and disappears on its own, leaving no trace in the database.
Six measures we always apply
Ephemeral location, never stored
The live position only exists while the trip lasts, in temporary memory that expires after one hour. It isn't saved to the database: when the trip ends, no trace remains.
Identified and rated drivers
Depending on the country, drivers pass an identity check before they can carry other children. On top of that, every driver builds up ratings visible to other families.
Parent-child linking with a PIN
Linking a child to your family requires a temporary PIN code, so nobody can link a child without their guardian's permission.
You decide who sees your child
You control which guardians and carers can manage each child. An invited co-guardian's access expires if it isn't confirmed in time.
We never store your card
All payments go through Stripe, a secure and certified gateway. Kidstoride doesn't store your card details or handle cash.
Data and providers in Europe
Information is processed under the GDPR and the artificial intelligence features use a European provider, without sending children's data outside the EU.
How we handle GPS during a trip
When a trip is under way, families can follow the route on the map in real time. That position is shared only during the trip and only with those taking part in it.
Technically, the location lives in temporary memory that is deleted automatically within one hour at most. It's never written to the permanent database, so there's no history of where your child has been.

Who is a guardian
Add or remove guardians and carers for each child. Only those you authorise can see or manage their trips.
Consent and child's data
You manage the consent and data for each child, and you can update or withdraw them whenever you want.
Co-guardianship with an expiry
When you invite another guardian, their access stays pending and expires if they don't confirm it within the time limit, so no invitations stay open.
Block and report
You can hide or block a driver who isn't a good fit for you and report any behaviour for us to review.
What families ask most
Do you store where my child has been?
No. Real-time location only exists during the trip, in temporary memory that deletes itself in under an hour. There's no history of positions in the database.
Who can see the live location?
Only the families taking part in that trip, and only while the trip is under way. Once it ends, it stops being shared.
Are drivers verified?
Depending on the country, drivers must verify their identity before they can carry other children. On top of that, every driver has ratings visible to other families. We have a dedicated guide on driver verification.
Do you store my card details?
No. All payments go through Stripe, a secure gateway. Kidstoride never stores your card details.
Is my family's data used to train AI?
No. The AI features use a European provider under the GDPR and children's data is not used to train models.
Can I delete my child's data?
Yes. You can update or withdraw each child's data and consent whenever you want from your family management.
