A mobility site is the digital meeting point of a university, hospital, industrial estate, technology park, business park or retail park: the people who work or study there find travel companions with the same destination, schedule and days. This guide is for both the person setting it up and anyone joining to share a car.

A shared destination, not an app to manage
The site appears in the Kidstoride directory with the name and logo of the site. Everyone who works or studies there finds it, indicates the area they travel from, their days and their schedule, and the system suggests travel companions heading to the same place.
There's no software to install in your organization and no mandatory technical integration. Your role is to open the site and spread the word; each trip is coordinated between the people, inside the app.

Each type of site has its own schedule logic and a tailored dashboard. These are the ones supported today.

Students and staff who share classrooms and class schedules, with very pronounced arrival and departure peaks.

Matching respects privacy by design. Here's what does and doesn't happen under the hood.
By area, not exact address
Each person's origin is stored as a map cell of ~1 km² (H3 grid), never their street or door. People starting from the same or an adjacent cell are matched.
By compatible days and schedule
Each person marks their days and their arrival/departure time, with a tolerance margin. It supports fixed, hybrid, rotating and flexible schedules (and shifts, at hospitals).
No GPS stored
Real-time location, when shared during a trip, lives only in temporary memory and deletes itself. No location trace remains in the database.
Only within your community
Trip suggestions are limited to people from the same site. No one outside the site appears as a possible travel companion.

We verify that the site is legitimate and approve your request. You'll receive an email with the direct link to your mobility admin dashboard.

From the dashboard you give the site your organization's look and get the material to spread the word among your people.

Each person joins and starts sharing
When they scan the QR or search for the site, an assistant guides each person to set up their commute. From there they receive suggestions of compatible companions.

- They choose whether they drive, ride along or both.
- They receive matches and coordinate each trip from the app.

The QR leads straight to the site page to join. Download it as many times as you want for your posters and communications.
Data export
Download a CSV summary of adoption (by home area and time slot), with no personal data. The formal mobility plan (PMST) report is part of Kidstoride Works.
Site profile
Edit the display name, logo, description and website at any time. Changes are reflected instantly on the public page.
One thing to be clear on about access
Opening and promoting the site is free for your organization. For a person to use trip matching they also need one of these two forms of access:
For large workforces —with billing, SSO, bulk CSV onboarding and mobility-plan reports (PMS/PMSST)— there is the Works module, which goes a step beyond the self-service site. We can tell you about it if your case calls for it.

What managers usually ask
Do we have to install or integrate anything into our systems?
No. Opening a site requires no technical integration. Your only job is to fill in the registration and spread the QR. The app and the matching are handled by Kidstoride.
How long does it take to be up and running?
The request takes a few minutes and approval is usually resolved within one business day. As soon as you have dashboard access, you can customize and promote the site the same day. The first matches appear as people gradually join.
We're a large company. Is this enough for us?
To get carpooling up and running quickly, yes. If you also need per-company billing, corporate sign-in (SSO/SCIM), bulk employee onboarding and mobility-plan reports (PMS/PMSST), then the Works module is for you, built on the same engine. Tell us about it and we'll point you in the right direction.
Can people from outside the site join?
Trip suggestions are restricted to people from the site itself, so companions are only matched with others heading to the same destination. The site is public in the directory, but the travel community is that of your site.
What location data is stored?
The origin is stored as a map cell of roughly one square kilometre, never the exact address. Real-time location, when shared during a trip, is temporary and deletes itself; it isn't recorded in the database.
