Commuter carpooling platforms for companies and the PMST in Spain: Karos, TRIBBU, Ciclogreen and Kidstoride Works
A comparison of the workplace carpooling platforms available in Spain, focused on what Law 9/2025 requires: a verifiable record, data for the plan, the biennial report, CAE credits and cost.

With the deadline for the Sustainable Workplace Mobility Plan set for 5 December 2026, many companies are looking for the shared-mobility measure required by article 26.3 of Law 9/2025: carpooling among staff. Four platforms operate in Spain for that. This comparison puts them against what the law asks for and against what the HR manager or mobility manager who has to submit the plan actually needs.

What the PMST requires of the carpooling measure
"Encouraging" car sharing is not enough. The plan must contain a commuting diagnosis, measurable targets, the implemented measure and a monitoring report every two years. For carpooling that means a verifiable record of every trip, exportable aggregated data (participants, trips, kilometres, CO₂ avoided) and something to prove it with before the authorities or auditors. The platforms
Karos (with BlaBlaCar Daily). After absorbing BlaBlaCar Daily in 2026, Karos is Europe's largest daily carpooling operator: around 150,000 monthly users, 11 million trips a year, 1,500 companies and over 250 municipalities, mainly in France, Germany and Denmark. In Spain its public presence is limited (Vitoria-Gasteiz since 2023). Its product is finely tuned for commuting with AI matching and remote-work options, and its regulatory documentation revolves around French rules. We found no specific Law 9/2025 modules or CAE credits in its public offering.
TRIBBU. A Spanish corporate carpooling platform present in Spain, Portugal and several Latin American countries: around 60,000 users, half a million trips and over a hundred companies, with investment from Iberdrola. It charges a commission per trip plus SaaS to the company. It integrated energy-saving certificates in October 2025 (about €1 per passenger per trip). It offers a company dashboard; its coverage of the formal PMST requirements is partial according to its public information.
Ciclogreen. A Spanish gamified sustainable-mobility platform: it rewards employees for cycling, walking, using public transport or car sharing, with a company dashboard and PMST and CAE consultancy services. It is the most oriented towards active mobility and internal communication; carpooling is one of its options, not the core.
Kidstoride Works. Our platform for companies, industrial parks, hospitals and universities: matching by shift and route (fixed, hybrid or rotating schedules), drivers identified with ID and number plate, in-app chat without sharing phone numbers, and a record of every trip. For the PMST it provides a diagnosis survey, an aggregated data dashboard, a PDF report and a certificate with public QR verification, plus the emissions report for the sustainability report. It includes CAE credits for the driver, a guaranteed ride home if the driver drops out and one particular feature: the same system lets employees take their children to school with other families, which multiplies usage. Sites in industrial parks get a park-wide page with a QR code that serves every company.

How to choose
- A multinational headquartered in France or Germany wanting one tool for every country: Karos has the scale and experience in those markets.
- A Spanish company already using per-trip CAE incentives that wants a platform established in Latin America: TRIBBU.
- A company that mainly wants to work on cycling, walking and internal communication, with carpooling as a complement: Ciclogreen.
- A company, industrial park or campus that needs to comply with the PMST before December with data and a certificate, and values employees also solving their children's school runs: Kidstoride Works.
